THE GAP

With only 2% of children making it to a professional sports career (playing), the question arises:
What happens to the remaining 98%?

This is where we come in.
We provide young athletes with the life skills, business acumen, and leadership qualities necessary to succeed beyond their game, while staying in the game (industry).

As sport teaches leadership, discipline, resilience, and teamwork, we turn those attributes into powerful tools for any future in the sports industry, ensuring that children are prepared to thrive no matter the outcome.

Playing may be their first dream, but it doesn’t have to be their only dream.

Our courses, family events, and 1-2-1 sessions are tailored to fit each age group, focusing on creativity, critical thinking, and leadership to build a strong foundation for success.

Claire Smillie, our Academy founder, is an accredited business coach and owner of g6 Sports Growth Consultancy. With a background in national-level sports and business expertise, she leads our academy with passion and insight.

Claire owns two businesses, co-founded a new mobile app, and serves as a Director for an international company. A true entrepreneur, she started her first business at 21.

Creating Leaders in the Sports Industry

At g6, we believe in building future sports leaders from a young age. Our programmes, led by expert coach Claire Smillie, are designed for kids aged 6 to 16, teaching real-world business skills they can use to succeed in the sports industry.

Whether it's through group workshops, family sessions or personalised 1-2-1 coaching, we inspire the next generation to think big, act confidently, and grow within a supportive community of peers and professionals.
